BIO

After his intense years of studies at the International Academy of Music in Milan in the Jazz Guitar course,he began a research path in the field of World Music.
In particular, he devoted himself to the construction of a unique and personal language rich in encountered elements, turning his gaze to non-European sound worlds, particularly the Middle East.
Balkan music first and foremost, with the Nema Problema Orchestra (2004) with which he performed at various festivals and clubs throughout Europe, and produced five albums with rearranged traditional songs and original pieces.
In the collaboration with Camilla Barbarito (2010) he found the pretext for a deepening in the most diverse directions, materialized in the project Sentimento Popolare. From tango to fado, flamenco to swing and bossanova, following the singer in her continuous research, which comes to merge with theater with the project Nina Madù e le Reliquie Commestibili.
A member of Connections Trio, a strongly jazz-based group in which she collaborates with Turkish pianist Yigit Ozatalay, professor of piano composition and arrangement at Istanbul University of Music.
Between 2015 and 2020 he collaborates with the famous tar player Fakhraddin Gafarov, in the quartet under his own name, with whom he records the album Uzunderè (Milan/Baku 2017) entirely composed of music of Caucasian origin.
In 2016, he gives birth together with Ashti Abdo and Manuel Buda to the Abdo Buda Marconi trio, an eccentric string-only ensemble that offers songs with a “Mediterranean” sound. Karsilama and Oltremura are the two albums produced by the trio, for several weeks in the top forty of the Transglobal World Music Chart.
In 2018 he founded the project Osmosi, together with Alberto Pederneschi and Ivo Barbieri. A repertoire with a pronounced Mediterranean matrix, with a particular look towards the East, in an original jazz-rock guise at times psychedelic. A fluid and iridescent sound that is shaped around ancestral and evocative melodies.
Also in 2018, he is one of the founders of the Cultural Association Sciami Cromatici with which he organizes, among others, the festival S’I’ Fosse Foco.
